This image of a Bighorn Sheep titled Snow Horns, was taken near Radium Hot Springs, British Columbia, during the heart of a winter blizzard. Heavy snow filled the air, temperatures dropped, and the mountains disappeared behind a curtain of white, creating one of the most dramatic wildlife encounters I've experienced.

Standing motionless as the storm intensified, this mature ram faced directly into the snowfall, his massive curling horns framing a calm yet determined expression. Every snowflake added another layer to the scene, transforming an already impressive animal into a portrait of resilience, strength, and quiet endurance against the Canadian Rockies.

Capturing this image was far from easy. The constant snowfall challenged autofocus, reduced visibility, and threatened to soften every frame. With snowflakes swirling unpredictably between my lens and the ram, timing became everything. I waited patiently for the brief moments when his eyes remained visible and the snowfall balanced atmosphere without overwhelming the subject.
