I photographed this Pacific Wren in the ancient old-growth forests near Victoria, British Columbia. After following its energetic movements through the dense vegetation, it paused for only a brief moment on a weathered branch before disappearing once again into the forest. Encounters like this are a reminder that some of nature's greatest treasures are often the smallest and most easily overlooked.
